Originally from a family of importers for many generations, just like the rural child forever rooted to his land, Hilco A. de Boer has never stopped discovering new horizons.

He always has an urge to curiosity, to whatever is unusual and if possible "rare"

 

It is during a trip to Peru, constantly seeking new products, that Hilco.A. de Boer got interested in Camu-camu, known to scientists as "the champion of vitamin C." In Europe Camu-camu is a way unknown, and is mostly used as a nutrition supplement in form of capsules.

The interest of Hilco A. de Boer has increased when he found out from Peruvians that Camu-camu is widely used in sauces, ice-cream, yogurts and juices… and that the local populations and the media continuously praise the benefits of Camu-camu and its high concentration of vitamin C and antioxidants.

 

We all know how much stress and pollution we endure, how much chemicals our body absorbs every day! How often the media insistently tell us how important it is to eat and drink as "natural" as possible, to take our vitamins for winter… for more and better energy and to make up for our deficiencies.

 

How come that "this super fruit", this champion of vitamins, this "treasure" that Nature offer s profusely is simply not available in our homes?

And then a partnership with the Frutivas Company was born, to make and introduce a new product in Europe… the Camu-camu Nectar.

 

Our product is essentially made up of the fruit extract, water and non-refined cane sugar, which gives this nectar more flavour as it is naturally very acid.

Our nectar is extracted from the fruit coming from wild grown trees on the Amazon riverbanks, not from any human production.

It is also preservatives-free (Health Registration Nr P220 1513 N-Nk SUD).

 

Our nectar is already available in France, The Netherlands, Luxembourg, Belgium, Germany and our aim and wish is to broaden these frontiers.
